SOSOO Amenities — Resources

Launching an amenity brand for hospitality is a sequence of decisions, not a single purchase. Each one commits a little more capital, so the order matters: decide the things that set your costs before you pay for the things that depend on them.
This guide sets out the stages, what you decide at each, and where launches most often overrun.
- White label. A base formula from a qualified manufacturer's standard range, with fragrance, packaging and label developed under your brand. The fastest route. - Bespoke development. A formula developed to your brief, with the option to own it. - Compliance only. You already have the product and need it taken through EU compliance.
1. Brief. Products, target markets, channel and budget bracket. A clear brief is the cheapest place to save money, because every later stage is priced from it.
2. Formulation. Base formulas and fragrance options from more than one manufacturer, so you can compare before you choose. You approve the formula direction.
3. Packaging. Format, material, fill size and decoration. Packaging is assessed against the applicable PPWR requirements, including the 2030 restriction on single-use toiletry miniatures in accommodation.
4. Compliance. The Product Information File, a safety assessment signed by a qualified safety assessor, a Responsible Person in the EU, and a CPNP notification before the product is placed on the market.
5. Production. Cost and minimum order quantity confirmed in writing, then production and quality checks. You approve the production order.
6. Route to market. Shipping into the EU and the route into hotels, yachts, golf clubs and spas. You decide pricing and channels.
Typically 14 to 20 weeks from signed brief.
There is no single price for an amenity brand. Cost depends on:
- the number of SKUs - the format and packaging, including decoration - volume, which the minimum order quantity sets per product - how much formula development is needed - the compliance scope and the markets you sell into
- Packaging changes after formula approval. A new format can mean new stability testing. - Claims added late. Every product claim has to be supported in the safety and compliance file. - Minimum order quantities discovered at the end. Ask for cost and MOQ in writing before you commit to production. - Too many SKUs at launch. Each SKU carries its own compliance file and minimum order.
How long does it take? Typically 14 to 20 weeks from signed brief.
What is the minimum order quantity? It depends on the manufacturer, format and packaging, and is confirmed in your written proposal.
Can I see samples first? Yes, through our sample programme. A sample fee applies, and the details are sent after your enquiry.
Who is the Responsible Person? An EU-based Responsible Person is required for every product. An outsourced Responsible Person is appointed for each product.
